Technology is popping up in teaching left and right. Teachers can use power point, smart boards, laptops, blogs, whatever their desire might be. The presentation by Gordo, Mike and Chelsea really excited me, because I could really see how students could use things like podcasts. It isn't difficult to really work technology into a topic, in fact, it might make the topic even simpler to teach. Using different software, you can teachthe same topic multiple ways to ensure that each student is able to understand according to their own intelligence.
I know we went over this in class, but we never took it seriously. Gordo and them said it took hours to figure it out, and it just doesn't seem to be worth all of the trouble.

"it just doesn't seem to be worth all of the trouble" . . . but what if your kids don't connect. how much trouble will that be? which takes longer: the time it takes to plan a really great lesson or the time it takes to reteach over and over and get frustrated because students aren't learning?
you present here why you want to integrate . . . how would you do it effectively?

Looking at the programs the students have and knowing what I know now, it seems useful to get to know everything to get them through to the students. I would have to have a good knowledge of what was going on and know a lot about the computers. I would have to be able to solve any trouble shooting issues and be comfortable with it otherwise it will probably be more hurtful than useful.
